A visit to the E.R.
So this past week during my visit to Tucson, AZ, I had to make a stop at the E.R. I was told that I have a subchorionic Hemorrhage in two areas. It was very scary and there is not a whole lot that can be done. My dr. at home has told me to take it easy on the working out, so no more running for me. BOO! While in the E.R. of course we checked on the baby and he or she is doing very well. A strong heartbeat and very active. I also found out that I am a week ahead of what we originally thought. So my due date is now April 8th! I am almost 15 weeks along now, still suffering from morning sickness even with the medicine. Some days are better than others, which I am very grateful for, so I just pray that as I go through the second trimester the morning sickness will lessen. There is still no weight gain, but my belly is starting to stick out there. I have started to buy winter maternity clothes, since I will be my biggest during the colder months. In about a week and a half we can find out the sex of the baby!!! We are so excited!!! I still think it is a girl, while E.J. is convinced we are having a boy. A woman, I used to do baby boot camp with, runs a ultrasound clinic in the area, so we are going to her. Thank you for all the well wishes. I am feeling much much better. I will keep everyone updated on the pregnancy!

Week 10
Okay, so I know I skipped week 9 and it is just about the end of week 10. Oops! Well things are finally starting to get better. I was given Zofran by my doctor (a different dosage from before). For those of you who don't know, Zofran is given to cancer patients during their chemotherapy, so this is some strong stuff. They don't like to prescribe it to pregnant women but do it when it is absolutely necessary. Well trust me it was!! This past week I was able to go to the gym 3 times this week and run about a mile and 1/2 each time. I feel great! Although today I did get a headache (side affect of the Zofran), it is much better than praying to the porcelain God all day. Tomorrow is a HUGE day for us, we finally get to go to the doctor to check on Mason baby # 2!!! We are soooo excited. Thankfully, E.J. has the day off so we are going together. I just can't wait to hear that heartbeat, what an amazing sound.
As far as gender, I have a feeling it is another girl. E.J. wants another girl, so we shall see. I have a friend who owns a ultrasound business here in town, so she said she will perform one on me at 16 weeks, four weeks early than the OB ultrasound!
We are working with Kamryn on being soft and gentle, so she isn't whacking the baby when he or she comes. She has been kissing my stomach, obviously she doesn't know there is a baby in there though. She is going to be a GREAT big sister!
I am getting a little pooch. I knew I would start showing early than last time, but geez!!! I can still fit in my jeans, thank goodness! E.J. says it is just because I was so skinny...let's hope he is right. Although, it is nice because it makes it feel more real. Anyway, just a little update...I will post more information after our dr. appt tomorrow.
How far along?: 10 weeks
Total weight gain: -3 pounds
How much does baby weigh?: The same as a kidney bean

Best moment this week?: Getting my Zofran!!!
Food cravings?: Anything that doesn't make me want to hurl
Labor signs?: nah
Belly button in or out?: In
What I miss: Eating what I want.

8 weeks
So week 8 is pretty much the same as week 7. Still feeling pretty sick. Although, I am now taking Zofran 3 times a day, which has been helping. Exhaustion is still here, alive and well. I am still working out. I try to run at least 3-4 times a week. If I don't run then I at least get out there and walk a mile. I am still keeping the exercise routine a little low key, considering my calorie intake has been low.
I have not gained any weight!! YAY, but it sure looks like I have. Bloat, gasiness and carrying water weight has definitely made me look more pregnant this time around. When I was 8 weeks along with Kamryn, unless I told them there was no way you would know that I was pregnant. The pregnancy belly is making an early appearance. :) Anyway, not much else to report.

Week 7: Feeling pretty crummy!
So we have made it to week 7, man, this month seems like it is dragging!!! Anyway, morning sickness has taken over my life. I have not been able to eat anything without feeling sick or actually getting sick. It is not a good feeling. I am starving but my body is rejecting everything I put in it. I had morning sickness with Kamryn, but I do not remember it being this bad. My other preggie friend, Jenni, gave me some "preggie drops." They taste delic, but I do know if they have really helped me, considering I had several and still managed to get sick. Oh well. My nurse is worried that I might be dehydrated, so I might have to go in for some IV fluids. We are praying that doesn't happen though. I am just sipping my water slowly and eating bread. Sounds like I'm in jail. Haha!
Other than that I am feeling alright. Still tired, but I manage to get up just about every morning and go for a run with Kamryn. I am proud of myself that I am sticking with the running, even though I'm pregnant. I hope to keep it up as long as I feel comfortable. We don't run far distances, but enough to get my heart pumping. I am really trying to keep my weight gain down with this baby so I can fit into my bridesmaid dress that I have to put on 3 weeks after I give birth! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
We have made the switch from the OB clinic to Family Medicine Residency. I will be able to see the same doctor the whole time and they will also be there when I deliver. With that switch also came a change in my first appt. So instead of going Sept 14, I will now be going Sept. 21st, during my 11th week. We are super anxious to hear baby's heartbeat and see my little peanut!!!!
How far along?: 7 weeks
Total weight gain: Actually losing weight!
How much does baby weigh?: The same as a kidney bean
Maternity clothes?: Can still fit in my jeans! WOOT!
Stretch marks?: Just the ones from my previous pregnancy, hopefully I wont be anymore.
Sleep?: I'm so tired at the end of the day I am sleeping like a baby!
Best moment this week?: Keeping my toast down
Food cravings?: Ugh...food
Labor signs?: Nope
Belly button in or out?: In
What I miss: real meals
What I'm looking forward to: The first ultrasound! still waiting!
Milestone: one week closer to our first ultrasound!

Morning sickness kickin' in
So I am currently about 6 weeks along and I am starting to feel some morning sickness, ALREADY! I don't remember feeling nauseous this early on when I was pregnant with Kamryn. Oh well! I am living through it. I just think that I would much rather get sick, than feel like I'm going to get sick all day. I am able to eat regular meals, but not without some punishment later on.
In other news, I am still waiting patiently for my first doctors appointment. Ten weeks seems like such a long time to wait to see and hear my little peanuts heartbeat. But I guess that's why they say "patience is a virtue." Still have about 4 weeks, but I'm sure it will go fast.
Here is a survey I found, that I will try to do every week. :)
How far along?: 6 weeks
Total weight gain: A little early for that
How much does baby weigh?: I have no clue, can't be much more than air though :)
Maternity clothes?: Nope, got a while before I need to make the switch
Stretch marks?: Just the ones from my previous pregnancy, hopefully I wont be anymore.
Sleep?: No problems, yet.
Best moment this week?: Having Erin come and give me information on being seen in the Family Practice clinic
Movement?: Nope
Food cravings?: Hot Dogs
Labor signs?: Nope
Belly button in or out?: In
What I miss: eating what I want and not feeling crummy afterwards
What I'm looking forward to: The first ultrasound!
Milestone: halfway through the first trimester!! WOOHOO!

Baby # 2 on the way!!
So it was about a week ago that E.J. and I found out that we are expecting our second child together. It came as quite a surprise, but we are very exciting for this new little person to become apart of our lives. At first we really couldn't believe it, but after 4 positive pregnancy tests and a positive blood test at the hospital...it was officially confirmed! Mason baby # 2 is on his or her way! Last Thursday we went to the OB clinic at Eglin and filled out all of the necessary paperwork. Turns out the Dr. I saw when I was pregnant with Kamryn is still there, so I am scheduled to be seen with him again. That is a huge relief to me to be seen by someone who knows me and how my body works. They told me that I am currently 4 weeks along and our expected due date is April 14, 2010, but I am thinking that baby #2 will probably make an early appearance, just as Kamryn did.
After we filled out all the paperwork I had to go get 7 tubes of blood taken! I just about fainted. I don't care how many times I will do this, the needle part always makes me really really nervous. Although they had to stick me several times, since my veins kept "collapsing," I was grateful to have that done and get the process started.
We go back September 14, for our first ultrasound. I am so excited! I can't wait to see how this pregnancy will be the same or different from my first child. It is going to be an interesting ride.
I am still trying to work out, running every other day, pregnancy pilates video, and Zumba. Since I will be putting on a bridesmaid dress about 3 weeks after I give birth I need to stay in the best shape possible!
So far I feel great. Just a little tired, but I think that has something to do with chasing around a one year old at the same time.
This blog is to keep all the family and friends updated on baby news since we live so far from family. Pictures and more info to come later!
